About the principles of security

Employees of the NPP Neftekhimiya at work

Safety without compromise is a core value and key priority for the NPP Neftekhimia team.

By occupational health and safety, we mean preventing risks to the lives and health of employees, ensuring accident-free operations, and preventing occupational diseases.

According to the Moscow Polypropylene Plant's Sustainable Development Strategy until 2027, we set the following goals:

  • Maintain zero occupational injuries.
  • Reduce the lost-time injury frequency (LTIF) rate by 5% among employees and contractors.

Our Approaches and Programs

To reduce the number of accidents and improve the safety culture at the enterprise, a set of measures has been implemented:

  • Implementation of the "Safety Framework."
  • Transition to an automated process control system.
  • Implementation of the "Safety Contour," "Safety Flow," and "Safety Step" programs.
  • Program to reduce injuries when working at height.
  • Development of a risk management system and occupational health and safety competencies among managers at all levels.

The most modern technologies remain mere tools without the people who manage them and share a philosophy of uncompromising safety. A key achievement of the company has been the development of a culture of personal responsibility, where every employee feels a stakeholder and guarantor of overall safety.

Responsibility to Partners

The Moscow Polypropylene Plant strives to inspire by example. Health and safety requirements also apply to contractors, whose employees are involved in training and briefings. All this helps ensure uniform safety standards across the production site.

Policies and regulations

Technology and ecology as the basis for safety

Technology and ecology as the basis for safety

The Moscow Polypropylene Plant is located within the city limits, so environmental safety is a special mission for Moscow residents.

The team focuses on clean production and reducing environmental impact. Over 80% of waste is recycled, and the plant's impact on air quality is regularly assessed. These and other projects contribute to improved compliance with legal regulations and the creation of new environmental safety standards.

Air Protection

High automation, modern safety systems, and sealed process circuits were established during the design stage of the plant's production complex. Throughout its development, the plant's team maintains and continuously develops its technologies. Accredited laboratories annually monitor air quality from emission sources and confirm its compliance with established standards. The efficiency of polypropylene dust emission purification is 95%.

Water Resource Protection

NPP Neftekhimia responsibly uses natural resources in production. To this end, equipment is modernized and water consumption is reduced. A laboratory monitors wastewater quality daily. Studies confirm that standard parameters do not exceed established values.

Other water resource protection measures:

  • Timely elimination of defects in equipment, water supply, and sewerage networks.
  • Implementation of closed water circulation systems.
  • Optimization of water circulation systems using reagent treatment.
